Service Hour Opportunity

Dear friends,

‚Ä™Thank you for taking my call today to discuss storm relief for Pueblo's Seniors and our disabled citizens.  Our community has a big job ahead of us to clean Pueblo of broken trees and storm debris.  We are calling upon service groups, churches, businesses, schools, and any individuals who are willing to join up to help Pueblo's elderly and the disabled who need help clearing debris from their yards and transporting it to city drop offs.
You can help by forming a team of volunteers at your church, business, school, or organization and contacting NeighborWorks at 544-8078 to schedule appointments.

We need volunteers who can saw, haul, and drive their truck or trailer to drop off limbs at free City drop off sites.  We are trying to get together teams for this Saturday May 6 and any other days that volunteers can help up to May 15th.

Pueblo Neighborworks has offered to help take calls from Seniors and the disabled who require help clearing storm debris.  Ashleigh Winans is the Director and her contact number is (719) 423-4928.   email:  Please contact her to coordinate your volunteer Storm Response Team.  She can help provide a schedule of people who have requested assistance.

I will arrange to meet up and take a photo of the volunteers and will have Sam Azad at the City provide Certificates of Appreciation from the City of Pueblo to display or post online with the photo.

Thank you for your support!
