Dr. Matthew T. Sumpter Medical Lodge Giving Tree

   Dr. Matthew T. Sumpter

October 5, 1961 - December 31, 2017

Dr. Matthew T. Sumpter was born and raised in Pueblo, Colo. and attended Central High School. He received his undergraduate degree from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. He received his medical degree from the University of Kansas in Kansas City in 1992, and continued his studies there in internal medicine, acting as a chief resident for a year prior to his fellowship in Cardiology also at KUMC. Dr. Sumpter had been with Pueblo Cardiology Associates since 1999 where he acted as the managing partner in recent years.

He was on the board at Parkview Medical Center and took pride in being a part of the Pueblo community. His time with the Rocky Mountain Council of the Boy Scouts of America held a special part of his life and commitment. Matt was a lifelong student enjoying both learning and imparting assistance and helpful advice whenever he could. He had a deep appreciation for nature and stole every opportunity to experience it's grandeur.

In honor of Matt and his love for San Isabel Scout Ranch, the new medical lodge at camp will be officially dedicated as the
Dr. Matthew T Sumpter Medical Lodge.

We will be accepting donations for the Dr. Matthew T Sumpter Memorial Fund to be used towards completion of the new medical lodge.
This is a project Matt was passionate about and we would like honor his memory by having this addition to camp stand the test of time.
